OUR PROGRAMS

Immanuel Lutheran School

Students at Immanuel grow both academically and spiritually in a loving Christian environment with wonderful teachers free from classroom distractions.  Christian behavior is expected, so students are respectful and kind to their teachers and to one another.  Academically, every student is challenged.  There are no ceilings on learning and every student’s needs are met.  Spiritually, students are taught about God’s amazing grace and His love for them. Immanuel Lutheran School is accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association.  School starts August 30, 2023. Private tours are available upon request.

Immanuel Lutheran Preschool

Immanuel Lutheran Preschool offers a full day program for children who turn three and four years old, respectively, by December 31. Parents may choose schedules of two, three, or five days per week. All children must be fully potty trained and developmentally ready to learn. Our theme-based curriculum incorporates social-emotional learning, experiential learning, experimentation and play. In PK-3, children are taught letter identification, letter sound and begin letter formation. Our PK-4 is a Kindergarten readiness program where children focus on letter formation and other early literacy and pre-reading component. Both PK-3 and PK-4 children learn about God’s love through Bible stories and classroom discussions. Science, social studies and number are studied daily as well. Our preschoolers learn to play with others, to share, and to forgive. Preschool classrooms are in the main school building and benefit from specials such as art, music, PE, library and pre-chapel. Our preschool follows the K-8 school calendar. School begins August 30, 2023. Call for a private tour.

Little Lambs Learning Center

Four safe and spacious classrooms are dedicated to our toddler program, Little Lambs, which all maintain a 4 to 1 ratio, in class sizes of 8, for children 12 months to 3 years of age. Little Lambs follows Connecticut Office of Early Childhood guidelines as well as requirements for National Lutheran Schools Association accreditation. Teachers provide a set daily schedule with fun activities that promote friendships and independence. Immanuel Lutheran does not accept Care4Kids. Little Lambs is a year-round program with rolling enrollment throughout the year as spaces become available. Call to schedule a private tour.

Little Lambs Infant Center

Opening June 2023! Children 6 weeks to one year, until developmentally ready for the toddler program. Space is limited. Call for information.

Welcome to Immanuel Lutheran School!  We are delighted that you have chosen to explore our website and learn more about us.   For over 125 years, Immanuel Lutheran has provided a Christ-centered education that links academic rigor with a loving environment and tradition with innovation. Families choose Immanuel for advanced high school preparation, small class sizes, traditional values, and the integration of God’s Word within the curriculum.  Immanuel Lutheran School graduates become high school valedictorians, community and state leaders, scholars, and most importantly, tomorrow’s Christian adults.

Our students and their families come to us from a variety of Christian denominations. They vary in ethnic and economic background and have a wide range of interests and talents. Our students are eager to learn and are motivated to do their best. They enjoy participating fully in school life and are encouraged to build upon their personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Immanuel Lutheran School’s students are taught by caring teachers who model Christian values. They are surrounded by peers who influence them to make wise decisions, and who support them as they become leaders for positive change.

We are very proud of our school community, and we are honored that you are interested in becoming a part of it. Please call us with questions or to schedule a private tour of the school. We look forward to your visit!
